Im Jahr 1958 gründeten Ahmet und Mehmet Gümüş gegenüber der Eisenkirche in Balat das Unternehmen AHMET GÜMÜŞ TORNACI. Anfangs begannen sie im Jahr 1976 mit der Produktion von Walzwerksmaschinen und Blechscherenmaschinen, indem sie Drehbänke aus dem Ausland importierten.
